Passed peacefully on 13 May 2026 surrounded by love. He is survived by partner Jane, who cared for him at home and hospice until his last breath. Father of Fiona (deceased) and son Edward. Father-in-law to Steve and poppa of Samantha and Ella. Younger brother of Augustine Jeremiah (deceased) and his wife Serina. Older brother of Chyrisse, Margarita, Dennis, Talei, Avice (deceased) and Daryl and his wife Corinne. Son of Helen and Terry Williams (both deceased) and loving grandson of nana Mary Anne Ryan (deceased). Loyal husband of Joyce Williams (deceased).
A service to celebrate Edward’s “fantastic” life will be held on Friday 22 May at 11am in the Kowhai Chapel, Fountains Funerals, 35 Wood Street, Papakura. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made in Edward’s memory for the outstanding care, love, kindness, respect and dignity he received from Totara Hospice doctors and staff.
