With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beautiful and amazing Mum, Bev, who peacefully passed away on Sunday 20 September 2026 at Middlemore Hospital, aged 74. A much-loved Wife, Mum, Nana, Grandma, GiGi, Sister and Friend, Bev was a vibrant, bubbly and confident woman who had a wonderful gift for making people feel welcome. Never one to shy away from a conversation, she could strike up a friendship with almost anyone and leave a lasting impression on those she met. Mum had a beautiful way of making people feel remembered and loved. She never forgot a birthday or major celebration, keeping her treasured calendar with all the special dates close at hand, and loved staying connected with family and friends through Facebook, Snapchat and her much-loved selfies. She leaves behind a large, blended and loving family of 7 children, 18 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren with likely more to come, along with extended family and many dear friends here in New Zealand and overseas. Mum, your love, laughter, warmth and beautiful spirit will live on in all of us. You have touched so many lives, and the memories we have shared will be treasured forever. Rest peacefully, our beautiful Mum. You will always be loved, forever remembered, and never forgotten. The service will be held in the Kowhai Chapel, Fountains Funerals, 35 Wood St, Papakura on Monday 28 September at 11am. Mum loved flowers, and especially sunflowers. Her preference is that people attending the service, please wear bright colours if possible, and not black.
