What is FDANZ?
The Funeral Directors Association of New Zealand (FDANZ) is an association of funeral directing companies carrying out the majority of funerals in New Zealand. They are a group of caring professionals who are committed to ensuring that the families they serve receive high quality service.

Our History
Fountains has been part of the South Auckland community since the early 1960s, when it was founded by Lambert and Tresnor Fountain. Originally based on Station Road, Papakura, the business later moved to Great South Road, where Lambert continued to serve local families until his passing in 1984.
Tresnor then relocated the funeral home to its current site on the corner of Elliott and Wood Streets, personally overseeing extensive renovations to create a purpose-built space for care and remembrance.
Over the decades, Fountains has grown in both size and service, supporting families across South Auckland and Franklin. Most recently, in June 2025, the Papakura premises underwent a major refurbishment - bringing new life to the chapel, arrangement rooms, and shared spaces, while preserving the deep sense of care and community that has always defined us.
